Chris was born and raised in Lancashire before studying bass trombone at the Royal Northern College of Music. During this time, he took part in different education projects which ignited his passion for working with children and young people. He graduated in 2015 with a BMus (Hons) in Performance and in 2022, he completed his Certificate for Music Educators (CME) with the Manchester-based creative music charity, Brighter Sound.

Chris has worked across the country as a music leader and educator, including as an ensemble Music Director for Lancashire Music Service, Teaching Artist for In Harmony Opera North and freelance musician/workshop leader with Live Music Now, More Music and the Slidin’ About Trombone Quartet.

As well as working with Future Talent, Chris performs as a professional trombonist working with orchestras, brass bands, big bands and musical theatre productions. Chris is excited to be part of the ongoing growth at Future Talent and is looking forward to supporting more young musicians across the United Kingdom.
